The Devon Spelæological Society (DSS) is a Devon-based caving club with a long-standing connection to the cave systems and landscapes of South Devon and Dartmoor.
The club owns and manages South Dartmoor Bunkhouse as both a base for DSS caving trips and as a resource for other outdoor groups. The bunkhouse puts visiting caving groups within minutes of the Buckfastleigh caves.
Caving in the Area
Buckfastleigh caves are less than 10 minutes’ drive from the bunkhouse. Access to some systems may require permits — check current access arrangements before your trip.
